A cargo ship loaded with two enormous cranes from China carefully sailed beneath the spans of the Delaware Memorial Bridge at midnight on March 30. Business is going great for Terex Cranes in Italy, and a look at the most recent sales figures confirms this: Italian distributor Tecno-Gru SRL ordered 24 rough terrain cranes in December 2017, and then continued its buying spree in January 2018 by adding another 10 rough terrain cranes. The Wittrock Group — Titschkus & Wittrock, Herrmann & Wittrock, and Kaiser & Wittrock — is adding more Demag units to its fleet. M.A. Mortenson Company was selected by French-owned renewable energy company Akuo Energy to construct Rocksprings Wind Farm, a 149-megawatt wind farm. The project, covering 15,620 acres of private land approximately 30 mi. north of the United States-Mexico border in Val Verde County, Texas, consists of erecting 69 wind turbines, an electrical substation and an underground transmission line. Sarens is expanding and updating its current fleet with the addition of 44 new Demag all terrain cranes that are scheduled to be built and delivered over the next two years. The order includes six Demag AC 55-3 models, seven AC 60-3 models, 12 AC 100-4L models, 10 AC 130-5 models, two AC 160-5 models and seven AC 220-5 models.
