Powerful All-Rounder, New Tadano AC 3.060-2

Tadano has developed its new AC 3.060-2 as a powerful and flexible taxi crane that can handle several jobs — setting new standards in its class in terms of line pull and overall height.

"With our new AC 3.060-2, we have created a compact and powerful crane that can cover an extremely wide range of applications without much effort," said Masafumi Nakamura of product development division, Tadano Japan. "That was our development goal – and we have definitely achieved it."

The new AC 3.060-2 is now available to order in the Americas and Australia. Tadano expects the first deliveries to these regions later this year. In Europe, the first machines will be delivered in 2027. Tadano has expanded production capacity by starting production of small 2- and 3-axle all terrain cranes in Japan, with the AC 3.060-2 as the second model.

Steep Boom Angle

The AC 3.060-2 is particularly powerful in steep boom positions: with its 164 ft. main boom fully extended and a full 28,700 lbs. counterweight, it lifts 12,800 lbs. at a working radius of 59 ft.

With the main boom extended to its maximum length plus a 52.5 ft. extension angled at 20°, it lifts a substantial 3,500 lbs. with full counterweight at a radius of 92 ft. It achieves a maximum system length of 216.5 ft.

Strong Line Pull

The AC 3.060-2 is also best-in-class with its line pull of 5,040 lbs. using a single line. And with triple reeving on the single-sheave hook block, the rope can even handle 44,100 lbs. This allows the AC 3.060-2 to lift heavy loads even with the small hook block and to perform many jobs as a taxi crane.

As a classic taxi crane, the AC 3.060-2 can be driven on the road within its 26,500 lbs. axle load limit, equipped with wide 16-inch tires, a large drivetrain, 9,300 lbs. of counterweight, the single-sheave hook block and 660 lbs. payload. This makes the AC 3.060-2 suitable for many one-person operations without the need for additional transport.

Easy, Safe Handling

Thanks to its unrivalled low clearance height of just 12' 4”, it is literally the benchmark on tight construction sites and especially in halls. Its compact design, with a width of 8' 4” and a carrier length of 31' 2”, makes it ideal for use in confined spaces. The optional Tadano Surround View system, with its four cameras that facilitate crane positioning and the stepless outrigger positioning Flex Base also prove helpful. Flex Base allows the outriggers to be extended to varying lengths right up to obstacles.

Compact All-Rounder

With the AC 3.060-2, Tadano has created a compact, maneuverable and quickly rigged taxi crane that is ideal for a wide range of applications: Whether for concrete work, unloading jobs, hall construction or prefabricated house construction — the AC 3.060-2 will prove its worth just as it will in various other lifting operations on construction sites. Its powerful performance with a steep boom angle should make it the first choice for lifting air conditioning units onto roofs over obstacles or for moving machinery with a jib in confined spaces.
