AmQuip Adds Heavy-Lift Grove GMK6400 All-Terrain Crane →

Manitowoc Cranes and AmQuip celebrated the sale of a new Grove GMK6400 to the Philadelphia-based crane rental company in a ceremony at ConExpo 2011. The GMK6400 boasts a 450 ton (408 t) maximum capacity, one of the largest capacity six-axle all-terrain cranes. IMT Introduces New Articulating Crane to Product Line →

Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc. (IMT), an Oshkosh Corporation company, introduced a new 47 tm crane to its lineup of articulating cranes at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2011, March 22 to 26 in Las Vegas. The new 47/326 provides more options for customers that require greater lift and reach capabilities by offering a lifting capacity of 21,625 lbs. (9,810 kg) maximum rating at a radius of 15 ft. 1 in. Link-Belt Cranes announced the sale of 14 cranes to ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corporation on the first day of ConExpo. The sizeable package includes crawler cranes, truck cranes and all terrain cranes. “ConExpo has arrived at a time when the economy is showing signs of an uptick. Terex Cranes Celebrates a Successful Start to Production in China →

Ron DeFeo, chairman and chief executive officer, Terex Corporation, has visited the manufacturing operations of the company’s latest crane manufacturing joint venture in China for an event to celebrate its new partnership. In late 2010, Terex signed an agreement with the privately held Shandong Topower Heavy Equipment Company for the manufacturing of lattice boom crawler cranes. “Our partnership with Topower represents a significant step forward for the Terex Cranes product portfolio and for our presence in the Chinese market,” said DeFeo.  Click for more...

Terex Cranes launched its new CTT 321 flat top tower crane, the latest 330 ton (300 t) addition to the company’s flat top tower crane offering. Maeda to Display Fully Compliant Mini-Cranes With New Attachments →

Maeda USA will display five fully compliant mini-cranes with new attachments in booth 440 in the gold lot. All Maeda mini-cranes meet ASME and EPA requirements for North America. Models range from 3,800 to 10,800 lb. (1,723 to 4,900 kg) capacity with lift heights to 68 ft. General Crane Bought Out of Bankruptcy →

General Crane USA has gotten the lift it needed to pull out of the economic downturn and rise out of bankruptcy. Prophet Equity, a Southlake, Texas-based firm, and General Crane co-owner and President Jim Robertson created Allegiance Crane & Equipment, which, in turn, purchased the assets of the Pompano Beach-based company for $40 million. In the spirit of recycling, when Ring Used Parts (RUP) needed a new building at its Ocala branch it found a perfectly good used one to fit the bill. The metal building, which had previously been used by Ring Power Corp's crane division at another location, was taken down and moved to the Ocala branch.
