On behalf of construction company Interbuild N.V. , Dutch crane rental company Stravers Torenkranen B.V. used six Terex flat top tower cranes at a work site in the Belgian town of Turnhout in order to erect multiple apartment buildings and a museum in the Turnova district. Work on the new Ferenc Puskás Stadium in Budapest has been going on since the beginning of 2017. The soccer stadium is being built at the exact same spot as its predecessor of the same name, which was built in 1953 and torn down in 2016. Manitowoc Updates Its Free Diagnostic Mobile App for Grove, National Crane →

Manitowoc Cranes' smartphone app that helps customers to diagnose technical issues on their cranes has been updated. The free app enables users to understand the numeric diagnostic codes that are generated by their on-board control systems. In addition to diagnostic codes for Grove and Manitowoc branded cranes that run on Manitowoc's Crane Control System (CCS) and GMK cranes with ECOS1 and ECOS2 systems, the app now provides diagnostic codes for National Crane models NBT30H-2, NBT50, NBT55, NTC55 and NBT60 and for select Grove and National Crane Rated Capacity Limiter Systems.  Click for more...

Covey Crane Service Adds New 45-Ton Capacity Manitex →

Covey Crane Service of Spencerport, N.Y., has just added a new Manitex TC45142C, 45-ton capacity boom truck to its fleet. Covey purchased it from local Manitex dealer Empire Crane Company, who has sold more than 25 Manitex boom trucks in 2018 alone. Raymond Ziegler, president of Covey Crane said "we chose to purchase a Manitex boom truck again, because of our great experience with the 40124SHL and Empire Crane." OSHA Issues Final Rule on Crane Operator Certification Requirements →

OSHA has published a final rule that clarifies certification requirements for crane operators, and maintains the employer's duty to ensure that crane operators can safely operate the equipment. The final rule will maintain safety and health protections for workers while reducing compliance burdens. Terex Corporation reported third quarter 2018 sales of $1.2 billion, up 11 percent versus Q3 of 2017, with increased sales and backlog in its AWP and MP business segments. The results were driven by continued implementation of the company's Execute to Win business strategy and its focus on meeting the growing needs of customers during a period of broad-based growth.
