A Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 mobile crane lifted the restored helicopter onto pre-prepared concrete supports. This exhibition piece will in future welcome visitors to the Kurt Georg Kiesinger Barracks in Laupheim, Germany. The Port of Virginia signed a contract allowing for the purchase of four new ship-to-shore cranes that are part of the $320 million expansion of Virginia International Gateway (VIG). Construction of a new $524 million, multi-purpose arena is under way in downtown Milwaukee, and a fleet of Manitowoc crawler cranes is handling its most crucial lifting work. Dubbed the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center, the arena will replace the aging Bradley Center and serve as the new home of the Milwaukee Bucks. Mortenson Construction is managing the lifting plans on the job site, and the company has employed a number of Manitowoc crawler cranes since construction started in November of 2016.
