One of the Faroe Islands' fastest growing companies is set to bolster its growth with the addition of a new Grove GMK5250L. ArtiCon was established in 2001, and in just 16 years, has already grown to employ some 200 people. The contractor works on a variety of construction assignments and demands flexible equipment that is efficient in all types of applications. Liebherr has extended its mobile crane product range with an additional series of rough-terrain cranes in the 100 ton (90-t) and 110 ton (100-t) classes. The Liebherr rough-terrain cranes LRT 1090-2.1 and LRT 1100-2.1 will be unveiled to the public at ConExpo 2017. From the 1980s to mid-90s the Liebherr portfolio included a range of rough-terrain cranes — then called LTL-cranes. Payloader Falls into Canal in Western Mass. →

A crane had to be used Feb. 23 to remove a piece of heavy construction equipment that fell into a canal in Holyoke the day before. The payloader went into the Lower Leval Canal along Water Street in the Flats of Holyoke on Feb. 22 in the afternoon. Holyoke Police Sgt. Richard Stuart told 22News that the accident took place at around 3:00 P.M. The driver of the payloader was able to get out safely, Stuart said.  Click for more...

Long standing Terex Cranes customer and valued business partner, Sarens will add 18 new Demag all terrain cranes to its fleet: eight AC 100-4L, three AC 130-5 and seven AC 220-5. Vice President of Engineering Don Moore has announced his decision to retire from Link-Belt Cranes, effective Dec. 31, 2017. Moore began his career at Link-Belt in 1977, accepting a position as an associate design engineer in the Tower Gantry Crane Product Group at Link-Belt in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
