Elliott Equipment Company, a manufacturer of truck mounted material handling work platforms, cranes and digger derricks, is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2018. Elliott Equipment Company was founded in 1948 by Dick Elliott. The company, which was founded and still based in Omaha, Neb., was one of the pioneers in developing truck mounted aerial equipment. ALL Family of Companies Adds Eight New Units From Manitowoc →

The ALL Family of Companies is once again expanding its fleet with the purchase of eight cranes from Manitowoc. The package includes two each of the MLC650 crawler, Grove TMS760E truck-mounted crane and Manitowoc 999 crawler, plus two more truck-mounted units: a Grove TMS800E and the all-new Grove TMS9000-2. A crane helped to lift two enormous pieces of history at the Holocaust Museum Houston. The museum is currently in the middle of a $50 million expansion project, which prompted the relocation of an old railcar and a Danish boat, KHOU News reported. The artifacts represent two sides of Holocaust history: the boat is the same kind that was used to smuggle Jews out of danger during WWII, and the railcar is said to be just one of many that the Nazis used to take millions of Jews to concentration camps, KHOU reported. The contract for SC Route 9 Bridge over the Catawba River in Lancaster, S.C., requires the placement of 170-ft. bulb-tee beams weighing 200,000 lb. (90 718 kg). The beams are some of the longest ever erected in the state of South Carolina. The ALL Family of Companies has made its inaugural sale as an authorized Kobelco dealer. Kelley Steel Erectors purchased a Kobelco CK800G-2 crawler crane from ALL and took delivery of the machine during a Dec. 21 key ceremony at the ALL Crane yard in Cleveland, Ohio. The sale of the new Kobelco unit was one of several on which the two companies plan to collaborate.
